What makes me different to most other wedding videographers is that I adapt the style of each film for every couple. I like to understand my couples personality and preferences and build a film around what they will connect with. Some are slow and romantic, some are fast and fun and many will be a blend of the two.
Every wedding an exclusive event, so each film should reflect that and I like to allow myself to create freely. Different types of music, different editing techniques, something that feels just like you and your wedding.
You want to enjoy your wedding and probably don’t like the idea of having someone in your face all day with a massive broadcast camera. This is why my approach to wedding filmmaking is minimalistic, relaxed and for most of the day you won’t even know I am there.
While filming I use light and composition creatively, but my main focus is capturing the feel of your wedding by observing the people and listening to what is taking place. My aim is to understand the couple and the people they care about, to create a film that you will connective with deeply.

Another unique element of what I offer is the opportunity to have a full length feature documentary film that shows you everything that happened on your wedding day from start to finish. This includes the ceremony and speeches in full as well as any other important moments throughout the day.
While the shorter, creative story films are perfect for watching regularly and sharing with people, these films are heirlooms and will form part of your legacy. There will be people and moments in this film that will grow in value for you over the years, moments that are too important not to have saved. Here is an example of a feature documentary film.

That is completely up to you. We can advise you what will work best once we understand a little more about your plans and the logistics of your day. For example, capturing both of you getting ready in separate locations, or where there are multiple venues incorporated into your day, are likely to require at least 2 storytellers. If all of your plans are taking place in one venue it is likely 1 storyteller will be able to capture everything. It may also depend on the service we are providing and the final products you would like to receive.
Most people don’t need to know how the sausage is made, they just want it to taste good! But if you want to geek out with me about camera gear, we use a number of Sony Mirrorless cameras and we currently have the Sony A1, the A7siii the A7 iv and a number of other cameras as well as a range of Sony, Tamron and Sigma prime and zoom lenses. We use DJI drones and gimbals, rotolight LED video lights, godox strobes and rode/zoom/tascam/sony microphones etc to capture nice clear audio. We have your wedding covered – but we use all this stuff sparingly because we don’t want you to feel like you are on a film set!
The short answer is yes. If you can afford both video and photo they will probably be the best investments you make for your wedding day. If I had to choose just one it would be video because I get to feel more emotion through moving images accompanied by sound.
