When I was first in contact with Aimee and Joe it was just a few weeks before their wedding and they hadn’t booked a photographer. It’s not that uncommon to receive enquiries at short notice for wedding videography as people can have a change of heart after seeing someone else’s wedding film, or finding a little extra money in the budget. But most couples have a photographer sorted in advance, and I would always suggest choosing a photographer early on in your plans. As a videographer and photographer covering weddings in West Yorkshire, and all over the UK we do tend to be booked a year or sometimes much longer in advance. But as this was a midweek wedding just after Christmas we were available! Aimee and Joe were having a very relaxed wedding and they originally didn’t think a photographer was necessary. Plus they probably didn’t want some bossy artistic type killing the vibe of their wedding, which unfortunately can be the opinion people have of photographers for good reason. But I knew we would be a perfect fit for them with our laid back, informal, documentary style of photography and they could be confident we would document their day, fuss free! We had a blast with this bunch at the Old Barn in Esholt, West Yorkshire. You can read what Aimee had to say about Your Story Films below, and look through a few of our favourite photos from the day.

"We can't rate Your Story Films highly enough. They went over and above our expectations. And really captured some beautiful natural pictures. Both Julian and Lyndsey had such a relaxed style and we would recommend to anyone wanting lasting memories of their big day. Thank you so much again for capturing the best moments for our best day ever!!!!! Aimee & Joseph. X"
