There is no way I can tell Jade and Jack’s story without some background, and this is why I love to meet my clients in person when they hire us to produce their wedding photographs and video, so that I get to hear their story in person.
A younger Jade and Jack met at the Moorlands Inn, Halifax whilst both working there around 5 years ago. As described in their wedding film, these two did not just fall in love, they were meant to be together. They spent those 5 years building their life together before making the ultimate commitment on their wedding day, at the same location they met!
Jack’s brother Harry is a medal winning Paralympian who represented England in wheelchair Basketball. Jack and his brothers love for sport took them from wheelchair Basketball to playing wheelchair Rugby. If you have never watched this you should, its awesome! Both play for the England wheelchair rugby squad of which Jack is the captain.
Where else would Jack propose to Jade than in the VIP area of an England rugby international game - I only wish I had been their to film it.
When they contacted us I am guessing they had been looking for a videographer and had found some of our films. But they were also interested in our joint photography and videography package that we had introduced. I’m so grateful to them for believing in us, at that time we had very little photography work to show in our portfolio.
On the day of their wedding both parents houses staged the preparations. With 6 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen, family members, make-up artists, hair stylists, and florists - I have to say this was the busiest prep we have ever witnessed!
While we captured an emotional first look between Jade’s dad and his beautiful bride to be daughter, Jack was getting a ride to a venue with his dad in a McLaren supercar! I think it says it all when no one looks nervous. They were all excited, completely into it all - this joining of two people was always meant to be.
Jack got a huge surprise when his favourite band, The Dunwells, walked into the ceremony playing an acoustic song leading the bridal party into the wedding. They were followed by the entourage and Jade looking beautiful, elegant and totally chilled on her dad’s arm. Some beautiful readings by close friends put a very personal spin on the ceremony.
An amazing confetti run followed, and then a trip to Ogden water reservoir for some wedding portrait photos in front of a beautiful backdrop (which you can see in our gallery below).
Best man Ross operated with military precision to get us through a very relaxed, and a little windy selection of group photographs, before everyone headed in to hear three very heartfelt, emotional speeches.
After a few hours of relaxing the couple cut the cake and hit the dance floor to demonstrate their waltzing skills to their favourite track, again played by The Dunwells. Following this the bouquet toss was won with the assistance of a borrowed prosthetic arm (this could be a world first!).
I admit, I stayed longer than I normally would, I was having too much fun capturing the life at this party. It was a truly fantastic day and a pleasure to be a part of.

But we don’t just want you to hear it from us, this is what Jade & Jack had to say about us:
If I could put more stars I would. Julian, Lyndsey and their team are amazing. They’re so easy to work with, happy to meet up with you many times to discuss the process, always available over email/telephone and really put so much care and attention into capturing natural pictures which really do tell the story of the day and what it felt like to be there. They blend in to the background so well that I hardly realised they were there despite there being 4 people capturing footage! They’re also willing to take specific photos if asked. I would recommend them without a second thought and think that the type of films and pictures that they capture are priceless, absolute creative geniuses. Thank you so much to the whole team for everything, from Jade and Jack.

Did this story move you? We would love to hear from you, maybe we could be telling your story in the future. Jules & Lyndsey. X
